nykeiko shops: Rebecca Taylor Sample Sale [June 2015 NYC Sample Sale]

I checked out Rebecca Taylor's sample sale last night. I try not to miss this one because of the good deals on samples and jewelry. Last time I got this solid rose gold necklace for $30 + 20% off (vip night)! I was hoping to find great deals on jewelry again for a gift but there were no necklaces spotted. Sometimes, previews don't always get you the special deals. I tried on a top and jumpsuit but decided not to purchase. Here's my report for Racked.

nykeiko shops: Rebecca Taylor sample sale #haul [November 2014 NYC Sample Sale]

this Rebecca Taylor sample dress. $75.
At last year's Rebecca Taylor sample sale, I scored these. So, when I got the VIP event for the sale this year, I was eagerly looking forward to shop it. Here's my review on Racked NY.

I was emphasizing on the samples section because that's where I spent most of my time. I got this dark blue (moss?) color lambskin skirt for $22.50 (with the additional 25% we receive on VIP night), a tweed leather jacket that can be a closet staple if I gave it a chance ($56.25) and a cute white knit top for $22.50. The top is actually my favorite piece. It's really girly (for me) which is what is lacking in my closet.

nykeiko shops: Rebecca Taylor Sample Sale [June NYC 2014 Sample Sale]

Vale 14k solid gold chocker

Rebecca Taylor cashmere beanie made in collab with White+Warren

I checked out the Rebecca Taylor sample sale at this morning's preview. Here's my review of the sale for Racked. There are no actual samples at the sale (if there was, I didn't see any) but there were still lots of deals to be had on accessories and lots of overstock from the Spring Summer collection to choose from. I didn't get anything from the brand but it does not mean I walked out empty-handed. I end up getting a sweet looking 14K solid rose gold flat spike chocker by Vale for only $30 (there was an extra discount for F&F :)) and a 100% White + Warren cashmere beanie (which will not be useful for the summer) for $22.50. There were many more temptations such as $50 shearling booties with fur and a $50 handbag too but I resisted! There were also many pretty skirts and dresses but I'm nice so I left them for other shoppers heehee and also didn't want to hear Dave's big fat sigh if I came home with more shopping bags :)

NYFW: The yummy jackets at Rebecca Taylor Fall Winter 2014 fashion show [New York Fashion Week February 2014]

I don't own any pastel or light-colored jackets but after seeing Rebecca Taylor's new Fall Winter collection, I'm thinking I should really think about it! I loved all the jackets and could see myself strutting around in Manhattan wearing them. Of course, I would be obsessed about not getting it dirty so no sitting on subways, no sitting on public benches, basically not going anywhere with it to keep it as clean as possible :)

1 dress: 3 weddings ?!?

This question from a reader on Shoptalk (Shopbop's blog) could have very well come from me but it wasn't!

"I am going to three weddings this summer, and I’d love to make the same dress work for all of them. Any advice to make each look different?"

Too bad I'm not a fan of this fluttery mint green dress from Rebecca Taylor and for that price. Should I challenge myself to make ONE dress work for THREE weddings happening all within a 3 week span? Too close for comfort right? I was thinking more of the same pair of shoes for three different dresses though! I'd hate to see myself in three different fb wedding albums wearing the same dress. People will think I went to a wedding mashup...or not.

Kristen's Bell loves sloths and I love her top on Ellen show :)

Of course while watching and laughing my arse off at Kirsten Bell's reaction to meeting a sloth, I noticed her cute blouse. Googling who designed that top was no problem except it's not in season it seems and this was the closest thing I found:

I heart hearts!
