nykeiko eats: Family inspired food at Maman NYC

For some of us who do not live close to home with your parents anymore, what would you do to get a taste of your favorite childhood recipe again? For some, it’s a long drive or an expensive plane ticket back home but New Yorkers, it might be a trip to Maman where you can find some family-inspired sweets and treats.

Maman’s ever-changing menu (daily) is sure to satisfy your every craving, whether it is sweet or salty. They serve quiches, sandwiches, a soup of the day, daily specials (comfort foods!) and at least a dozen choices of baked goods including: home-baked cookies, croissants, financiers, tarts and more. For a hint of French delight, try their lavender infused hot chocolate.

Maman is helmed by Michelin star chef Armand Anal (head chef of La Chassagnette in the South of France), Elisa Marshall (baker and event planner) and Benjamin Sormonte (restaurateur and entrepreneur). They also just opened a brand new French rotisserie called “Papa Poule” for conveniently grabbing a juicy roasted chicken on-the-go to be enjoyed at home with your family or friends.

Maman is located at the border of Soho and Little Italy where you can drop in and pick up a drink (and a cookie) before you start your day or catch up with friends over a healthy salad.
