nykeiko shops: A tinsy peek inside the Céline outlet store [Woodbury Common Premium Outlets]

We made a short trip to Woodbury Common outlets on our way back from Poughkeepsie this past Saturday (We visited the Walkway over the Hudson bridge.) Dave's mom needed to find a dress for an upcoming wedding and we were just happy to tag along (me happier than Dave to be exact). Even if we were there for a couple of hours, Dave's mom came out empty handed. Dave and I purchased 4 pairs of Smartwool socks at 50% off for our upcoming backpacking trip. The discount on these socks were more exciting to me than any other sales at the outlet. It is no doubt due to all the sample sales that I have access to which has made me indifferent to these outlet "deals". However, I know that there are some brands that do not host public sample sales- like Céline which only hosts private sales- so knowing there was a Céline outlet store picked my curiosity.

Céline is the first store I popped into, curious to see what was offered. I would have taken more pictures if the sales rep didn't stop me. She did offer to email me pictures of the items I wanted but I politely declined. I was hoping to take a peek at the price tags on some handbags. The trio and luggage handbags were not available but I did spot a few decent trapeze bags and red chain flap bags lying around. There were also many colorblock leathers pieces, totes, some shoes (heels and boots), sunglasses and clothing to shop. Still too pricy for me but a good deal for the fans!

Spring 2013 furry Céline shoes are $2850 from $4750. I wonder how many of these were ever sold at retail price?

Something red ... [prada]

I have always been attracted to red. It is RED, how can it not steal my attention away from other boring colors out there? When you see someone accessorize with a dash of red, your eyes just go there...I have a red coat, red clutch, loads of red nail polish, red lipstick, red iPhone case, red umbrella, red cardigan, red top and still looking for a pair of red pumps.

Below is my latest red addition!

I know, I know. I shouldn't be spending prior to my trip but I couldn't help it. When I saw my friend going crazy at the Prada Outlet store in Woodbury and ended up buying two pairs of shoes, a wallet and a card holder (he says it is waaaay cheaper than in Japan), I also wanted to be part of the action! I had my eyes on these card holders. Although I really wanted a Prada bag or wallet (which I do not need), I was happy getting this small business card holder for going out and for my newly printed nykeiko.com business cards. There were simpler smaller card holders in white, blue, fuscia, cream and black but I thought the folded ones were more spacy and I could use it for money and other things and not just cards. For the folded card holders, it was between cream, fuscia, red and blue. I originally wanted the blue (cornflower blue) when I layed my eyes on it last year but when it came down to red or blue, red wins it once more! The contrast with the gold logo seems more striking. It was also 40% off retail so double winss!

My Woodbury haul! Not so large as past trips :)

When LH suggested shopping at Woodbury this weekend, I immediately said yes! I really didn't need anything except for maybe a cocktail dress but I knew I'd find some good ol' bargains and can stock up on summer garments. We went just the two of us for about 6 hours of non-stop shopping. We were tired but it was worth it!

My '6 hours in Woodbury' haul:
Two men's briefs for D from Banana Republic. 2 for $15.
Two Ryan fit shorts from Banana Republic. $24 each.
White cotton shirt from MaxStudio $38.
Nubra $29.99.I got the silicone Nubra at 50% which is better than the 20% off I got Beauty.com. I haven't received the ones I ordered online but as soon as I do, I'll return for refund. I have never tried these before and I'm actually a little intimidated by them. Any tips or advice?
Nude slingbacks from Nine West $59.99

Imaginary purchases:
Herve Leger strappy stilletos $119 (orig $680). No size 7 or else ...!
Prada wallet in cobalt blue for $200 something
Theory dress $175. I was disappointed at the lack of deals and sale selection this time at Theory. I usually buy several things from there.
Helmet Lang white blazer $280

There were a lot of pretty things I wanted but lack of sizing was a huge help with keeping my money in my pocket. LH on the other hand, her haul list is amazing and I think would be double of mine.

Ryan fit shorts
I'm pretty excited about the shorts I got from Banana Republic. I don't really have any bright colored shorts and I rarely wear yellow. These are so bright and fresh and I'm ready to wear them all summer long. Me likey.

Gilliano slingbacks
I've never bought so many shoes in so little time (from the R and B boots to the Stylemint pumps). I guess once you open the door to buying shoes, it's hard to stop but I will!...It is just that I have been obsessed with finding the perfect nude pumps as well as finding shoes to wear for the wedding. But I thought these ones were the perfect color but mostly height and comfort which is important after all. Soon, I'm going to throw away some old shoes I no longer wear (two pairs in total I think) and do a shoe count.

I end up buying almost an entire outfit without realizing. The nude slingbacks paired with shorts and the white top is a perfect attire for a Manhattan day or night out.

My post from my first trip ever to Woodbury in 2010.
